AIMA responds to ESMA consultation on European directive


The Alternative Investment Management Association has said that many of the draft proposals by the European Securities and Markets Authority for the implementation of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive are “measured” – but that several major areas of concern remain.

ESMA, which is responsible for advising the European Commission on the implementing measures for the AIFMD, has been seeking feedback on a consultation paper it circulated in July.
