Florence Lombard, the CEO of CAIA Association, says that despite the turbulence facing the markets the number of people enrolling on the association’s introductory course has jumped significantly this year.
CAIA figures show that new Level I enrolments for the September 2011 exam cycle increased 33% from the March 2011 cycle. The biggest increase was experienced in Asia where enrolments jumped 82% from March 2011. In Korea, it jumped by 135% compared to 43% in Hong Kong and 102% in Singapore. In China, more candidates enrolled as well.
