Henderson has made a new addition to the team managing the AlphaGen Volantis fund, the $500 million UK small-cap equity strategy that was one of the most successful hedge funds run by Gartmore prior to its acquisition by Henderson this year.
Ex-Brevan Howard portfolio manager Roy Kashi is joining as an investment manager on the Volantis strategy – reporting to lead manager Rob Giles. He joins the eight-strong UK smaller companies team led by Adam McConkey, which joined Henderson in April following the acquisition of Gartmore. The team manages over $1.3 billion of assets.
