New York State allocates $380m to hedge funds


The $147 billion New York State Common Retirement System added roughly $380 million to hedge funds earlier this year, including a new allocation to AG Super Fund of $100 million.

Other top-up allocations to existing hedge funds included $105 million to D.E. Shaw Oculus International Fund, $70 million to Brigade Leveraged Capital Structure, $55 million to Brevan Howard Fund and $50 million to COMAC Global Macro Fund.

The hedge fund programme at New York State, which has close to $6 billion in investments, has not been especially active recently due to a number of changes. Albourne replaced Aksia
