Investor views differ from managers in key areas, Ernst & Young finds


Ernst & Young’s annual survey finds once again that investors and their managers do not always see eye to eye on a number of key issues – especially when it comes to fees, succession planning and corporate governance.

More hedge funds (33%) this year than in 2010 (15%) reported pressure to lower fees for larger mandates. Investors were not surveyed on their views on fees.

Price tag aside, nearly two-thirds of investors say that having a well-articulated succession plan in place is important to their investment decisions, while less than 40% of hedge funds see a succession plan
