Newer funds more transparent, Aksia finds


A survey of institutional brand hedge funds conducted by consulting firm Aksia has found a generational shift in industry transparency, with 26% of funds less than two years old providing full portfolio disclosure.

This figure differs greatly from hedge funds that are more than 10 years old, of which only 9% provide full transparency. Transparency over the last 10-plus years has been a concern of institutional investors who have increasingly expected some level of position disclosure from their underlying hedge fund managers.
