Equity strategies experienced the worst losses for the week ending 9 December 2011, according to figures from the Absolute UCITS database.
The Asian equity excluding Japan sector, the top performing strategy during the previous week, reported the largest loss for the week and was down an average of 2.71%. This was partly due to the performance of Tiburon’s Taipan and Taurus funds which were down 3.47% and 2.73% respectively.
All other equity sectors reported negative performance as well during the latest reporting period. Emerging markets equity, Asian equity including Japan and Chinese equity reported losses of 1.39%, 1.32% and 1.15%
