Rogge to double emerging markets exposure, hires new PM

Texas firm eyes emerging markets, hires Clay Finlay exec.

Henrik Strabo
Rogge Capital Management, a $225 million global equity hedge fund in Austin, Texas, is planning to double its exposure to emerging markets. The firm has hired Henrik Strabo, formerly the chief investment officer of global equity shop Clay Finlay to manage the emerging markets strategy within its flagship global equity fund.

Strabo worked at Clay Finlay from 2006 through the firm’s close in mid-2009 when the firm closed as a result of poor performance and massive outflows (the firm managed $1.8 billion as of March 31, 2009, down from $5.4 billion at yearend 2007).
