Algebris eyes Asia foray

Algebris Investments, the London-based financial sector specialist with around $1.5 billion in assets, is understood to be eyeing an entry into the high-octane Asian region. "We are currently considering the possible benefits of opening an office in Asia. At this nascent stage we are evaluating the merits of a few locations and Hong Kong is one of those," says the firm's spokesperson.
