BarCap's RADAR up 30% in its first year


Barclays Capital's RADAR long/short macro fund has got off to a fine start, with the $105 million fund posting a net return of just under 30% in its first 12 months.

Launched in March 2009, RADAR - which stands for Research Analysis Driven Absolute Return - is managed by BarCap's £4 billion in-house asset manager Barclays Capital Fund Solutions.

The long/short macro tactical asset allocation strategy draws on the expertise of the 800-strong Barclays Capital research team - taking strategic advice from the firm's highly-rated Global Asset Allocation team, headed by Tim Bond.
