Strong performance continued in March for the majority of emerging market equity funds, with several Russian-focused players posting double-digit returns.
Halcyon Advisors found success with two funds focused on Russia and the former Soviet Union. The Halcyon Power Investment Company gained 21.15% in March and is up 39.08% for the year to date, an impressive first quarter for a fund that made 87.23% in 2009.
Another Halcyon offering, HH Generation, was up 17.95% in March.
Prominent Russia specialist Bill Browder brought home 11.40% for his Hermitage Fund. Meanwhile, UFG Russia Alternative and Spectrum CIS Value extended the winning runs
