West Yorkshire to reach 5% target with extra $100m


West Yorkshire Pension Fund, one of the largest local authority plans in the UK as well as one of the most innovative in its investment techniques, is understood to be looking to increase its hedge fund allocation.

Currently, the $12 billion fund invests around $500 million across six fund of hedge funds portfolios. Another $100 million will take the investment up to the roughly 5% target allocation that the fund has been looking to reach for some time. It is understood that the investment will be made into its existing managers.
