Mark Carhart, the former co-head of Goldman Sachs’ largest hedge
fund, is making progress in building up his solo operation. Carhart,
who also ran quantitative strategies at Goldman, has named his firm
Kepos Capital and hired Noel Flynn, former director of finance and
operations at Satellite Asset Management, as chief financial officer.
Kepos is expected to formally launch toward the end of the year.
Earlier this year, the firm hired Matt DesChamps, former chief financial officer at Satellite, as chief operating officer.
