Medians hold up well in largely falling Asia-Pacific markets


Asian hedge funds fared well despite tough markets as compared to their corresponding benchmark indices, which were mostly in negative territory in April. All AsiaHedge medians, except Australia and China, made small performance gains, with the regional AsiaHedge Composite registering a 1.24% gain for April against the MSCI Pacific Free Net’s drop of 0.15%. Year-to-date performance, however, is still lagging the benchmarks, with the AsiaHedge Composite’s year-to-date gain of 3.68% being lower than the market’s 6.12% return.
