NewAlpha seeds Goldman veteran's macro firm

NewAlpha Asset Management, the Paris-based hedge fund seeding firm that is a subsidiary of French asset management group OFI, has made its 14th investment through a seeding deal with a US-based macro manager.

The firm has allocated an undisclosed amount to the G Capital Fund, a global macro strategy managed by New Jersey-based G Capital Management. New Alpha's investment, made on 1 June, has pushed the fund's assets above the $100 million mark.

G Capital was founded by Peter Gerhard, a former partner, managing director and senior trading manager at Goldman Sachs who worked with the firm from 1983
