Superfund shuts Singapore office


Austrian managed futures specialist Superfund has closed its Singapore operation and five other international sales offices amid volatile market conditions, but will continue to run out of Hong Kong, Tokyo, Vienna and New York, according to the firm.

Superfund, which uses a proprietary algorithmic trading platform to run its global managed futures funds, earlier this month closed its offices in Dubai, Sydney, Sao Paulo, Liechtenstein and Monaco, in addition to the Lion City. It now runs about $1.24 billion of assets though five classes of funds.
