Singapore-based Akshayam Capital's Asia Fund has enjoyed solid performance in its first year of operation, returning 12.6% since its inception in June 2009.

The pan-Asia equity long/short strategy, which excludes Japan and Australia, has also managed a challenging 2010 well so far and is up 6.8% year to date, in the top quartile of peer performance. As a result, it is seeing growing investor interest. The firm plans to add new analysts to its four-member team in the future.
