Mixed fortunes among quant and market-neutral equity managers


Equity market neutral and quant strategies could be split equally in June into those that made money and those that lost it. The highest performer was Danske Invest Hedge European Absolute, with a 3.04% gain for a 7.69% YTD, while Brummer's Arbor fund posted the biggest loss, dropping 6.85% during the month for a -12.83% YTD.

Sabre Style Arbitrage made 1.34% in June and is up 7% YTD. HSBC European Alpha gained by 40bp and has advanced 4.5% in the first half. The IKOS Hedge Fund made a small loss (40bp) but holds on to a 4.84% gain
