Wu raises $93m for new Trivest fund


Huimin Wu, the former head of Prime Capital, has raised $93 million for Trivest Advisors’ first fund, a China multi-strategy fund, which launched on July 1. Its underlying strategies, aimed at capturing alpha on both the long and short fronts, are core holding, directional long/short and event-driven.

Wu had managed the successful Dragon Billion Greater China Fund at Prime Capital, which he founded in Hong Kong and ran until early 2008. He serves as Trivest’s CIO, working alongside CEO Lan Xue, the ex-head of China research at Citi.
