Investors in listed TOPS fund vote to transfer into UCITS vehicle


Investors in the €155.9 million London-listed version of Marshall Wace’s MW TOPS hedge fund have voted in favour of transferring their money into a UCITS fund at an extraordinary general shareholders meeting held yesterday (16 August 2010).

Most of the investors voted in favour of the three resolutions and the listing of the company’s shares was due to be cancelled at 8am today.

Shareholders’ investments will be transferred into the MW TOPS Developed Europe UCITS fund.

Dr Cameron McPhail, chairman of MW TOPS Limited, said: “The board is pleased that shareholders have backed this proposal, which we believe to be
