Baring Asset Management is bolstering its services to institutions in the region with the appointment of Wayne Shum to head of institutional business for Asia ex-Japan.
Shum joins from HSBC Global Asset Management (Hong Kong) where he oversaw business development with central banks, government agencies, sovereign wealth funds, public reserves, state pension and social security funds and supranational organisations. He previously led Franklin Templeton’s institutional business development in Asia ex-Japan.
