Tenor grabs Arcadia analyst


Amarish Mehta will work on the firm’s multistrategy fund.

Amarish Mehta, who previously worked at Arcadia Capital Advisors and Platinum Partners, has joined $500 million New York multistrategy shop Tenor Capital Management as a research analyst. He will focus on the firm’s flagship multistrategy vehicle, the Tenor Opportunity Fund, which invests in convertible arbitrage, distressed, special situations, and event driven opportunities.

Tenor Opportunity, which is managed by Robin Shah, is up 6.26% this year through August. While many of its peers have had a see-saw year, Tenor has only suffered one down month in 2010, dropping 61 basis points in May. The fund gained 45.91% in 2009,
