German institutional investors lean towards UCITS, says Aquila


Compliance is one of the reasons why 59% of German institutional investors say they allocate capital to absolute return funds using the UCITS wrapper, according to a survey for Aquila Capital.

This is rather surprising considering that the UCITS directive was originally intended for the protection of private investors according to Roman Rosslenbroich, chief executive of Hamburg-based Aquila Capital which has $2.9 billion assets under management.
