Paris-based equity long/short specialist Exane Asset Management plans to launch a global healthcare fund.
The new strategy would join the asset manager's €4 billion stable of well-performing specialist strategies that cover technology, European equity, small/mid-cap European equities, diversified financials and industrials.
Pierre Sequier, managing director at Exane, said the new global healthcare long/short product could be launched in the next couple of months using the UCITS wrapper.
The firm has not yet announced the fund manager or the name of the fund. Exane has fared particularly well during the financial crisis and its funds have established a strong reputation
