One of Europe’s oldest and best-performing UCITS funds, Ennismore European Smaller Companies Fund, is to re-open to new investment for the first time in nearly 10 years.
The fund manager is promoting the fund to institutional investors and family offices via a series of roadshows for the first time since its inception because it has spare capacity due to redemptions in the last few years.
The fund was launched in 1999, the fund shows annualised performance of 15.4%, and has been hard closed since 2000. Ennismore raised €12 million of new money in 2003 because of good market conditions.
The fund is run by former Barings fund manager Geoff Oldfield, along with Tom Hearn, Leo Perry, Simon Reid and Christian Fliesser.
