Scott Richland has been appointed as chief investment officer at the approximately $1.7 endowment The California Institute of Technology. Richland will work closely with the investment committee of the Board of Trustees and the team in the Institute’s investment office to manage Caltech’s increasingly diverse array of security holdings and investment properties.
Previously, he was president of Lunada Bay Investors, a private investment firm with interests in a variety of strategies including hedge funds. He is also an adviser to Evolved Alpha, a multi-strategy hedge fund. He worked for six years as president of a family office called Andell Holdings.
