Schroders taps former Brevan partner Lespinard as fixed-income CIO

UK-listed asset manager Schroders has announced the appointment of former Brevan Howard man Philippe Lespinard to the newly created role of chief investment officer for fixed-income.

Lespinard will join Schroders at the start of November and report to Karl Dasher, head of Schroders’ fixed-income business. He will take direct management responsibility for the global multi-strategy fixed-income team and chair the global fixed-income investment committee that covers all portfolios.

Lespinard was most recently a partner and head of absolute return strategies at Brevan Howard Asset Management in London, where he was in charge of the firm’s move into the UCITS
