The global financial crisis in 2008 was probably the worst in living memory.
It created an emotional legacy that has influenced financial markets and determines the price of assets, according to Eric Lonergan from M&G.

The well known events of that year included the banking crisis which resulted in a lack of liquidity in the markets, the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the closure or merger of many well known financial institutions left its mark on most ordinary people.
It has also left its imprint on financial markets and this legacy may still be felt two decades after the event, according to Lonergan co-fund manager
