Asian hedge funds still struggle with high water marks


Half of Asia-based hedge funds remain below their high-water marks, according to the 2010 Greenwich Associates/Global Custodian Prime Brokerage Study, which also indicated that about 45% of US managers and approximately 50% of those in Europe are struggling to match previous performance records.

The study researchers, who surveyed 1,800 fund managers worldwide, said the situation illustrated the ongoing impact of the global financial downturn on the hedge fund industry.
