VinaCapital Investment Management is exploring the possibility of moving the listing of its closed-end Vietnam Opportunity Fund from London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to another exchange. Several bourses are being considered, including Singapore Exchange, according to a spokesman for the fund manager.
An exceptional general meeting will be held to seek shareholder approval on a decision to set up a share buyback mechanism for the diversified Vietnam Opportunity Fund, which had a net asset value of $769 million as of September. The move is aimed at increasing shareholder returns.
