Australia’s eStats starts ultra high-frequency CTA


Sydney-based eStats Funds Management has launched an ultra high-frequency CTA next month with $15-$20 million in AUM, with most of the capital raised from outside of Australia. The firm was founded by former applied computing research scientists Bernard Orenstein and Steve Woodyatt.

The eStats Revolution Fund, which has a capacity of $100 million, has been trading $6 million in proprietary capital for three and a half years, generating returns of 85% on an annualised basis. The firm takes no management fee but charges 49% on performance on profits above cash, with seed investors paying a lower 39% performance
