New Mexico SIC adds third FoHFs


The New Mexico State Investment Council, which has been redeeming from a number of managers, post Madoff and placement agent scandals, has added a third fund of hedge funds player to its permanent portfolio.

Aetos Capital won a $150 million allocation following a search that began in June. The $14 billion pension fund has lowered the size of its hedge fund portfolio from 15%, or more than $2 billion, to a total of 5% of assets or roughly $650 million.
