UN pensions team organise hedge fund/private equity programme

The $40 billion United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund has yet to allocate to hedge funds, but it is slowly making progress in adding alternatives as managers have been evaluated and a new team focused on hedge funds and private equity has been established.

For example, Terezie Hesounova, a native of Czechoslovakia, recently joined the pension fund unit to oversee private equity allocations, which are in their early stages.

The search for a fund of hedge funds consultant is in its final stages following evaluations of the RFP being sent on to the procurement department for contract negotiation.
