BTG Pactual attracts $1.8 billion from top-drawer global investor group


BTG Pactual, the Brazil-headquartered international investment banking and asset management group led by former UBS global fixed-income chief Andre Esteves, has signaled a major new phase in its rapid expansion with the signing of a $1.8 billion capital increase from a consortium of top-drawer international investors.

The consortium includes prestigious sovereign wealth and pension fund investors Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, China Investment Corporation, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board and Abu Dhabi Investment Council.

Private equity firm JC Flowers & Co is also part of the consortium, along with RIT Capital Partners and Lord Rothschild’s family interests, the Santo Domingo
