Kentucky Retirement System hires new CIO

TJ Carlson, formerly of EnnisKnupp, has joined the Kentucky Retirement System as chief investment officer. Carlson was a principal at consulting firm EnnisKnupp and previously was chief investment officer and treasury director for Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin.

Before that he was CIO for the West Virginia Investment Management Board and he has also previously been a senior investment officer at the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System.

Kentucky CIO Adam Tosh stepped down in mid-July to join Rogerscasey as managing director of investment solutions. The $14 billion Kentucky Retirement System has been battling negative publicity following an internal audit
