Numeric Investors, the Cambridge, Mass.-based specialist in market-neutral strategies, is set to begin trading a new statistical arbitrage fund managed by Andrei Pokrovsky with the help of Kevin Zhao.
The Numeric Fundamental Statistical Arbitrage will feature a higher turnover rate than the firm's existing stat-arb strategy. But the new fund won't rely simply on frenetic portfolio turnover to generate returns.
