Tiedemann Investment Management is planning on opening a new fund to outside investors in July. Carl Tiedemann's billion-dollar hedge fund shop quietly seeded the group's first multi-strategy fund earlier this year, establishing a three-month track record with proprietary money.
The new fund, called Tiedemann Pine Ridge, is managed by a portfolio team led by Larry Gussoff and Julian Emmanuel, who joined the Manhattan-based hedge fund group in early 2003.
In addition to being the firm's first multi-strategy fund, Pine Ridge is the first new strategy to be added under the Tiedemann umbrella in some time. The last addition came
