Mike Stanek, a former sell-side analyst within Lehman Brothers technology group, is gearing up to launch a hedge fund early this summer. Stanek is setting up a long/short equity hedge fund with a technology focus. The fund will be called AtherTech Capital Partners and it is rumored to be launching with $10 million in assets from outside investors.
AtherTech Capital Partners is also looking for an experienced analyst, with an expertise in hardware, hard drives or software. Stanek was formerly a sell-side analyst at Piper Jaffray, which was acquired by U.S. Bancorp in 1998. The fund will be based
