The strength of technology-oriented hedge funds was underscored in April by a NASDAQ that seemed to rise from the dead. In fact, the NASDAQ surged about 9.2% on the month, accounting for the bulk of the 9.6% gain for the benchmark on the year.
Apparently riding this wave was Raj Rajaratnam's Galleon Management, which saw a 3.3% rise in its Galleon Omni technology fund.
