Technology analyst J.P. Gravitt recently left Pequot Capital Management. Gravitt, who joined Pequot from Salomon Smith Barney in late 2001, covered both the public and private tech arena including the beleaguered business-to-business and software sectors. At Pequot, he also specialized in enterprise software that focused on collaborative applications, a segment of the market that Gravitt projected would grow to $36.5 billion by 2004, representing a six-fold increase over five years.
