C$5,000 varsity scholarships at McGill


Arguing that the development of the alternative-investment industry is vital to the growth of the Canadian economy, John Xanthoudakis, chairman of Norshield Financial Group, has spearheaded an effort to get hedge funds on the curriculum at college campuses. And so the Norshield Financial Group, which offers multi-manager funds to Canadian retail and institutional investors, has created a scholarship aimed at third-year undergraduate students. The C$5,000 scholarships are available to top students majoring in finance at McGill University and the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.
