Center named after Cerberus co-founder


As students at St. Bonaventure University in upstate New York returned to classes for the new semester, they were greeted by signs of a huge building project under way. That's because the private Catholic school has started construction of a $5 million gym and recreational facility called the Richter Center in honor of Cerberus Capital Management co-founder William A. Richter and his wife Sandra. The hedge fund manager put up $3 million to fund construction of the center, which is expected to be finished sometime in 2004.
