Highbridge adds Morgan risk chief

Highbridge Capital, the $5 billion New York multi-strategy fund run by Glenn Dubin and Henry Swieca, has created a new role of chief risk officer and hired a veteran of Morgan Stanley to fill the post. Subu Venkataraman was most recently global head of risk monitoring for equities, commodities and foreign exchange, as well as head of the risk analytics and methodology group. At Highbridge, he will be in charge of implementing risk management policies and procedures, as well as improvements to the firm's capital allocation and risk monitoring processes.
