"100 Women" gala draws big names

George Soros, founder of Soros Fund Management, and Elaine Crocker, president of Moore Capital, turned out to accept awards at the "100 Women in Hedge Funds" 2nd annual fundraising gala at Cipriani's on November 18, providing a draw that helped the group raise $2.5 billion for charity. Paul Tudor Jones, whose Robin Hood Foundation is collaborating with 100 Women in developing an "infant academy," or early childhood education program for underprivileged neighborhoods of New York, also spoke at the event, while Louis Bacon, founder of Moore Capital, made a rare appearance.
