He's barely drinking age. But he is already appears to be a savvy money manager. Twenty-two-year-old Timothy Sykes, who recently graduated from Tulane University, has been investing since he was gifted with $13,000 at his Bar Mitzvah. He quickly grew his gift money into a tidy sum totaling $1.65 million between 1999 and 2002. And, after a stint doing a semester-at-sea and purchasing a book from Amazon on "How to Create and Manage Your Own Hedge Fund," Sykes has expanded outside of personal investing and started a short-biased hedge fund, Cilantro Partners.
