Managers tee-off in charity match

A late fall charitable golf outing in Long Island, that drew members of the hedge fund community, pulled in close to $500,000 for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The event was a joint outing with the Edwin A. Levin Foundation. The board of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research is top heavy with big names in the hedge fund industry, including the likes of SAC Capital's Steven Cohen, Highbridge Capital Management's Glenn Dubin, and Blue Ridge Capital's John Griffin. The group also has high-profile supporters in Hollywood, including Jeffrey Katzenberg of Dreamworks.
