Jim Rogers, former partner of George Soros, who famously went around the world on a motorcycle, which he wrote up in the best selling book, Investment Biker, is teaming up with a Lausanne-based firm to launch a new managed futures fund.
His new partner is Lionel Motiere, formerly of Barep, who is now principal at the hedge fund group Equinoxe Partners. Rogers owns a majority 51% of the new Diapason group.
Diapason is expected to launch two funds in mid-February which are intended to exploit a bull run in raw materials. The funds will have an active management component, but
