Highbridge keeps firing


Several big name multi-strategy funds pulled in solid gains in January, many of them striking just below 2% for the month. Anemic risk arb results kept many from breaking out into a higher range, but steady gains in converts ensured a winning month for most, leveraged or not. One winner was Highbridge Capital's $6.2 billion multi-strategy fund, which generated a 1.9% gain in January, bringing its 12-month total to close to 11.0%.
