Libertyview man to HSBC


It seems the story of large institutions buying in talent from the specialist hedge fund shops is set to run and run. The latest to move is former Libertyview manager Warren Stein, who will manage a convertible portfolio for HSBC in New York whch will feed into a multi-strategy fund headed by John Moore-Stanley.

In addition to convertibles, the multi-strategy vehicle will have a merger arb segment managed by Moore-Stanley and a distressed securities portion handled by Kim Z Golden, who recently joined from T Rowe Price.
