SEC and CFTC extend cooperation

In the latest development in a relationship between two regulatory agencies that hasn't also been friction free, the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recently signed a cooperation agreement with the Securities and Exchange Commission aimed at further sharing the regulation of futures markets.

The latest deal inked in mid-March between the CFTC and SEC is intended to allow the two regulatory groups to more effectively share data on futures markets and partcipants.
